The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Question: If we attack Iraq, is the FBI prepared to defend against another big
terrorist 9/11 type of attack? Experts, including Chairman of the Senate Intelligence
Committe Bob Graham, don't think so...Dig this quote from today's Washington Post:
"They [FBI] still don't know where the terrorists are, how many are here, what their
intentions are, what kind of support network they have...They can't give me an answer
because they don't have one...They have so little to show for their work and we have
so little time to take action now....There will be hell to pay if we don't use the
next 60 days [before a war with Iraq might begin] to do everything in our power to
dismantle their capability."
I don't make this stuff up folks...
With intelligence agencies predicting that Iraq and sympathetic Islamic extremists
will attempt to launch terrorist attacks against the United States in the event of
war, many government officials are growing concerned that the FBI is dangerously
unprepared to detect or thwart strikes on U.S. soil. (The Washington Post)

Coulter, Cottle, and Blankley with special guest appearances by Senator John Breaux
and Senator-elect/FOH (Friend of Hardball) Lindsay Graham...
Btw, wasn't it great during the Impeachment trial when Lindsay said in his famous
Southern drawl, "I don't know about you, but where I come from if you're talking to
someone on the phone at 2 am, you're up to no good."
In the D block we're going a bit cerebral with a debate on where this country is
heading demographically and what it means for each party...Ruy Teixeira just
co-authored a book called "The Emerging Democratic Majority" which says the trend
favors Dems...Cato institute Director of the Center for Representative Government John
Samples says that's not the case...Shuster & Jamison are putting their package
together as we speak...
In the Buzz block we'll go from spinach to a hot fudge sundae dessert....We'll take a

the book "Sex, Power & Murder" about Gary Condit...
