Today John Kerry addressed the VFW in Ohio, criticizing the President's recently
announced plan to redeploy U.S. troops from Europe & Asia and bring many of them
home...We're also hearing from our sources on the ground that that Bushies are
positively giddy over the fact that Kerry has spent the last couple of weeks on the
defensive over Iraq (we've been chronicling this over the last couple of weeks as you
know)

We'll get into it with former Vermont Governor Howard Dean and Republican congressman
David Dreier...David Gregory kicks off the show with a hit from St. Paul where Bush is
campaigning today...

David Shuster reports on Kerry's speech and the Bush/Kerry dueling banjos over the
military vote...That brings us out to The Hotline's Chuck Todd & The New York Post's
Deborah Orin...We'll roll the new Moveonpac.org ad which returns fire on the
anti-Kerry swift boat campaign and have a little fun with that...

We'll also talk to the editor-at-large of GQ magazine who has a profile of Joseph
Darby, the MP who first blew the whistle on Abu Ghraib...

Here's a fun quote we found from Kerry on his recent views on troop redeployment

"If the diplomacy that I believe can be put in place can work, I think we can
significantly change the deployment of troops, not just there but elsewhere in the
world. In the Korean peninsula perhaps, in Europe perhaps. There are great
possibilities open to us."
