We're kicking it political freestyle tonight with Jack Kemp, Dee Dee & Barnicle...The
war of words has been heating up as Kerry says "W" stands for "Wrong" and Bush said
something like 'He woke up yesterday morning with yet another new position. And this
one is not even his own.' The President is referring to the fact that Kerry just
pumped up his staff with a bunch of Clintonistas including James Carville and Paul
Begala as well as Joe Lockhart. In fact, Clinton was dispensing campaign advice from
his hospital bed over the weekend

Our panel will do the latest polls, the bites, the attacks, the strategy and
everything in between....Looks like both candidates are taking off the gloves post
convention...

Shuster is doing a package on the latest ad wars and will "truth squad" the latest
Kerry ad attacking Bush on Medicare...We throw back to the panel for reax...

In the back half we talk to a couple of Senators, Evan Bayh (D-IN) & Arlen Specter
(R-PA), about their proposal to put the 9/11 Commission recommendations into law...We
probably throw in some "Battle for the White House" questions as well...

And we finish up with my favorite segment of the night: Pat and his new book: "Where
the Right Went Wrong: How Neoconservatives Subverted the Reagan Revolution and
Hijacked the Bush Presidency"...From what snippets I've read of the book, Pat slams
mercilessly and drops it hard from the Right. An apropos theme song might be Onyx's
"Slam" or something off "Straight Outta Compton"...I relish reading this book as I
would a trip to The Palm...
