The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
No doubt you've heard about the five American former hostages in Iran in '79-80
who are saying the new President-elect of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, was one of
their captors...Tonight we talk to three hostages who were there...We'll also
talk to reporters Robin Wright of the Post, Andrea Mitchell of NBC News, Mike
Isikoff of Newsweek and John Palmer, formerly of NBC News who covered the
hostage crisis back in the day...
And you'll recall Tuesday night's broadcast at the Nashville church we had some
wives of soldiers serving in Iraq...Well it turns out that one of the husbands
was watching the the show in Iraq!! We're bringing back Amy Beth Thompson to
tell the story...Who knew they watched Hardball in Iraq? Way kewl!
And tomorrow...Pulitzer Prize winning author and historian David McCullough is
in the house...Talk about gravitas...If you've ever watched those snooty
historical documentaries on PBS or the History Channel (I confess I get them on
Netflix or Tivo sometimes) you're familiar with his work...He's written several
books most notably "Truman" and his latest "1776"
Please join us tonight...
