The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Lots of news out there on the leak investigation with Judy Miller and the Times
delivering this weekend those much anticipated write-ups on the case and what
exactly transpired between Judy and Scooter during their conversations in
'03...They discussed Joe Wilson on three occasions although Judy says she can't
recall who gave her the name of Valerie Plame...We'll also take a closer look
at that letter Scooter wrote to Judy about the Aspen's turning, such and so
forth...Was Scooter trying to coach her? We're also learning that Fitzpatrick
is much more interested in Cheney and the extent of his involvement as
well...We'll get into it and why several of his aides have been interviewed...
Hmmmm...We'll recap what we know and get reaction from uber-Dem lawyer Richard
Ben-Veniste and Former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore...We'll also chat with top
Dem Senator Joe Biden (an '08 contender) about the case, Harriet Miers and who
the prohibitive favorite for '08 might be...
We've also got an all-star panel of investigative journalists including Allen,
Isikoff & Norah...
And as you know the Times is coming under fire for their coverage and
involvement in the case...We'll get some critique and analysis from left winger
Amy Goodman of Democracy Now on Pacifica Radio and Deb Saunders of the SF
Chronicle...
Here are some key letters including the one from Scooter to Judy (PDF, Adobe
