            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

President Bush jetted down to Cancun for a (working) spring break this week.
Back on Capitol Hill, the illegal immigration debate has consumed and threatens
to divide both political parties. In the midst of a tense climate, some bizarre
political theater has played out in Congress as senators ponder a measure to
censure the president and Capitol police reportedly plan to issue an arrest
warrant for Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) in the wake of a confrontation with
police earlier in the week.

Tonight on Hardball, Chris will talk about the Capitol capers with Washington
Post reporter Dana Milbank and NBC News' Congressional Producer Mike Viqueira.
Plus, Hardball Correspondent David Shuster will have highlights from today's
censure hearing that featured former Nixon White House Counsel John Dean.
Here's more on the hearing from the AP:

And it's Friday night, so that means it's time for the Hardball HotShots!
Tonight, MSNBC's Rita Cosby, Joe Scarborough, and Ron Reagan will be here to
talk about the GOP's border split, the Dems' tough terror talk, Sen. John
McCain (R-AZ)'s Christian courting, and much more!

By the way, check out Milbank's piece today on the "A" word in the illegal
immigration fight:

Also tonight, Gov. Jon Huntsman (R-UT), who just got back from Iraq, will talk
about the latest developments there and what he saw while meeting with U.S.
troops. Read more about the governor's trip in the Salt Lake Tribune:

And finally, Thursday marked the 25th anniversary of the assassination attempt
on President Reagan. Biographer Richard Reeves, author of "President Reagan:
The Triumph of Imagination," will be here to talk about Reagan's legacy and the
modern politicians who try to emulate him. Find out more here:
