But before we get to the presser tonight, it's a live edition of Hardball at 5
pm Eastern. Chris welcomes NBC's Tim Russert, moderator of "Meet the Press" and
author of a new book called "Wisdom of Our Fathers," to talk about today's
immigration developments, the outlook for 2006, and what to expect in tonight's
White House meeting.

Plus, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean plays Hardball tonight
about his party's chances for taking control of Congress in 2006.
Also at 5, Hardball Correspondent David Shuster will have the latest news in
the CIA leak probe. Will Vice President Cheney be called to testify? New
documents filed by Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald indicate that is a
possibility. Read more on that from the AP:

Chris also will talk with Howard Fineman, MSNBC political analyst and chief
political correspondent for Newsweek, and Charlie Cook, NBC News political
