The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
The U.S. military was waiting to confirm today the identity of two bodies
reported to be those of missing U.S. soldiers. Tonight on Hardball, MSNBC Chief
Washington Correspondent Norah O'Donnell sits in for Chris and will have the
latest news on this story from NBC's Mike Boettcher from Baghdad. Gen. Barry
McCaffrey (Ret.) also will talk with Norah about the insurgents claiming
responsibility for the killings and Hardball Correspondent David Shuster will
report on how the situation unfolded. Here's more from NBC:

As reports of the killings circulated today, the Senate dove into debate over
Democrats' proposals for withdrawing U.S. troops from Iraq. But could a debate
among Democrats over when and how to do it help Republicans in the long run?
Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-TX) and Dick Durbin (D-IL) will both join
Norah to talk about that debate as well as the tense situations with Iran and
North Korea. MSNBC has more on North Korea:

Also tonight, Republican Party Chairman Ken Mehlman plays Hardball to talk
about the road to Decision 2006. Republicans raised $27 million last night for
House and Senate candidates, and the AP has more on that:

Hardball Political Analysts Bob Shrum and Kate O'Beirne, Washington editor of
the National Review, will be here to talk about the fights over Iraq,
immigration, corruption, and much more!
Don't miss Hardball on Wednesday with Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) and Sen. John
McCain (R-AZ) on Iraq, Iran, and North Korea. Plus, we'll talk to a former
Gitmo Bay prisoner whose story is told in new film "Road to Guantanamo."
