The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Coming off a long holiday weekend, today Washington responded to yesterday's
missile launches in North Korea and urged for six-party talks. (Bush remarks:

remarks:

For the latest news we'll turn to NBC's Jim Miklaszewski at the Pentagon.
We'll also hear from two Congressmen, Rep. Dan Burton (R-IN) and Rep. Bill
Pascrell (D-NJ).
The CIA recently announced their bin Laden unit is being shut down. Is Osama
no longer public enemy #1? We'll ask the first head of that unit, former CIA
official Michael Scheuer, and Tyler Drumheller, who was the agency's man for
European Operations.
Former Virginia Governor and RNC Chairman Jim Gilmore and Democratic Strategist
Hilary Rosen will join Norah O'Donnell to discuss political fallout on the
North Korea missile launchings. Also in our continuing Decision 2006 coverage,
we'll analyze implications of Senator Lieberman's decision to run as an
Independent if he doesn't win the Democratic primary. Will supporters stay
with him if he changes camps?
And war protestor Cindy Sheehan claims she'd rather live under Hugo Chavez'
rule than under George W. Bush. We'll hear about her crusade and the hunger
strike she began at midnight on July 4th.
Be sure to watch Hardball tomorrow at 5pm, and a special edition at 7pm when
you can be part of the Decision 2006 coverage of the Showdown in Connecticut:
