President Bush touted new economic numbers today that show the projected
deficit will be smaller than expected. The president credited tax cuts for what
he called "a good day for the American taxpayer." Here's more from the AP:

Is the president's sense of the economy on the money or way off? Tonight on
Hardball, Chris crunches the numbers with Robert Reich, former Clinton
Administration labor secretary, and Pat Toomey, president of the Club for
Growth and a former Pennsylvania congressman. Plus, in his 601st collaboration
with uber-producer Chris Pendy, Hardball's David Shuster will report on the
reaction to the forecast and what it could mean for Decision 2006.
Meanwhile, hundreds of people were killed and injured today as bombs exploded
on commuter trains in India. Chris will talk with Tom Ridge, former
Pennsylvania governor and Bush Administration homeland security secretary,
about what India's prime minister said was the work of terrorists. Read more
