            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
"Dubious" intelligence, Midwest cold, Scooter Libby and "Mad (political) Money"
- that's all tonight at 5 and 7 PM EST on Hardball.

First up, a new Pentagon report says a former Defense official provided
"dubious" intelligence to the White House, fueling the push for war in Iraq.
Chris will be joined by Sen. Ben Nelson (D-NE) and former CIA official Tyler
Drumheller. Read more from the Washington Post
(http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17051786/).

Then, the prosecution in the Scooter Libby trial has rested, but Hardball
Correspondent David Shuster hasn't - he'll be here to review what we learned
this week about Libby and Vice President Dick Cheney, and tell us what's next
from the defense.

Will Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) make his run for the White House official? Find
out on MSNBC tomorrow. Chris has been raiding our swag closet for anything
that'll help him face the bitter Midwest cold and he's heading to Springfield,
IL for some Hardball-style reporting from the big announcement.
We'll get a preview tonight on what to expect from Lynn Sweet of the Chicago
Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune's Jim Warren. Read the latest from Sweet's
"The Scoop"

But it's not just Obama's party this weekend - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) will
be in New Hampshire for the first time as a candidate and former New York City
Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) is heading to the west coast. And will former Vice
President Al Gore join the race (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/17064370/)? Our
Hardballers, radio talk show host Ron Reagan and Terry Jeffrey from Human
Events, will join in on the '08 slicing and dicing.

You can see more of Hardball's own Jeremy Bronson tonight in his report on
hired campaign bloggers bringing more headaches than help to their bosses, the
candidates.

And, don't miss Chris and Jim Cramer, host of CNBC's "Mad Money," on big money
and hot politics.
