The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Hardball made headlines when CIA leak juror Ann Redington told Chris that
Scooter Libby should be pardoned on Wednesday night's show. But what about
President Bush? As conservatives continue to push for a pardon, the president
continues to stand firm against the pressure. Which brings us to another
pressure, the one some say is building in the White House between Bush and Vice
President Dick Cheney. And while Valerie Plame Wilson didn't testify at the
CIA leak trial, but she will appear at a House hearing investigating whether
the White House followed the proper procedures to protect her identity. We'll
have the latest on all this tonight on Hardball.
But first, part two of our exclusive interview with juror Ann Redington.
Newsweek's Howard Fineman, John Dickerson from Slate, the National Review's
Kate O'Beirne and Chris ask Redington all the Libby trial questions you want
answered. We'll also have a report from Hardball's David Shuster on the latest
in the pardon debate. This is the real Thursday night must-see TV.
Then, how could a possible Bush pardon for Libby impact the race for '08? The
Hardballers: radio talk show host Michael Smerconish and Democratic consultant
Jenny Backus will be here to hash it all out, and later in the show, more on
'08 with Jill Zuckman from the Chicago Tribune and John Fund from
OpinionJournal.com.
