            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
First news of business:
Exciting times at Hardball HQ as our own EP (and MSNBC Washington VP) Tammy
Haddad received a prestigious Gracie Allen award for her work as an outstanding
producer. Former Hardball topper - now NBC News exec - Phil Griffin presented
the award Monday night in the big apple and the Hardballers couldn't be more
proud of our fearless leader!

And our first Super Tuesday was a hit. Go to www.hardball.msnbc.com to watch
Chris' interviews with Clinton, Edwards, Obama and all the '08 news we brought
you first!

Now, on to the show...
Is the race for '08 big enough for two New York mayors? And one sick interview
- Hardball's David Shuster caught up with filmmaker Michael Moore, in town for
the Washington, DC premier of "Sicko," his controversial new documentary about
the U.S. health care system. That's tonight on Hardball!

Up first, Michael Bloomberg sets the wheels in motion for a 2008 shake-up by
saying goodbye to the GOP. Shuster's pulling double duty tonight and he'll
have a report on the latest. We'll also hear from former Ross Perot aide Ed
Rollins and the Rev. Al Sharpton on whether the mayor will run for a bigger
house.

Then, who's the real Michael Bloomberg? We'll get some insight from New York
Magazine's John Heileman, who wrote "His American Dream" on Bloomberg
(http://nymag.com/news/politics/25015/), the Washington Post's Jonathan
Capehart, a Bloomberg 2001 campaign staffer, and Dylan Ratigan, host of CNBC's
Fast Money and a former Bloomberg senior executive.
Later in the show, more on Bloomberg, '08, this afternoon's Bush stem cell veto
and all the hot news of the day with our Hardball Panel: the Atlanta
Journal-Constitution's Cynthia Tucker, Deroy Murdock from National Review
Online, and Time's Jay Carney.

Plus, are third party candidates spoilers? MSNBC political analyst Ron Reagan
and former Ralph Nader campaign manager Theresa Amato are gearing up for
tonight's Hardball Debate. Don't miss it!
