The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Today MSNBC's Super Tuesday gave voters a chance to participate in the
political debate, which they did on-line, on the phone, and on-air all day.
We've been talking to people from across the country about what matters most to
Americans and their families.
The big news of the day was the senior staff changes for the McCain campaign.
Earlier today, McCain campaign manager Terry Nelson, chief strategist John
Weaver, and two other senior aides offered their resignations. Can the Arizona
senator get his campaign back on track or is a train wreck coming up down the
line? NBC's Andrea Mitchell and Craig Crawford, CQ columnist and MSNBC
political analyst, will join us with the latest. And later in the show, GOP
strategist and former McCain spokesperson Todd Harris and the DNC's Karen
Finney will take on the question in tonight's Hardball Debate.
Tucker Carlson had the big exclusive today, sitting down with McCain supporter
and former Oklahoma Gov. Frank Keating, who said a lack of funds may be behind
the McCain staff shakeup. Go to www.politics.msnbc.com

Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) will be here to talk about his presidential campaign,
Iraq, and much more.
Then, the big headline from the Senate today: Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) says
he's come to terms with God and his family, but how will Louisiana voters react
to his admitted association with the now-infamous DC madam? The Hardball
roundtable covers it all with CBN's David Brody, University of Dayton Law
School Professor Tom Hagel (brother of Chuck the senator), and April Ryan from
American Urban Radio Networks. We'll hash out all the day's hottest political
news, and take a look at today's Vide08 feature -- the DSCC's new ads going
after Republican senators up for re-election in 2008.
