            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

It's off to the races!

With just 11 weeks until the first primary votes are cast, '08 Presidential
candidates on the campaign trail have ratcheted up their attacks on rival
candidates. Hardball's David Shuster will have a report with the latest
exchanges and then we'll talk to political strategist Mike Murphy and
Newsweek's Howard Fineman about the strategy behind these tactics.

Next, despite majorities in both houses, congressional Democrats have proven
ineffective at changing Pres. Bush's conduct of the Iraq war. Rep. Janice
Schakowsky (D-IL) and Rep. Jim Moran (D-VA) have been vocal critics of the war.
Tonight, they'll tell you what the Democrats' next move will be.

A middle school in Maine has placed itself in the middle of a political
firestorm by making birth control pills available to girls as young as 11 years
old without parental consent. NBC's Ron Allen will have the story and then
we'll take a closer look at this issue in our Hardball Debate with Radio Talk
Show host Mark Williams and '08 Congressional candidate Nancy Skinner.

Plus, which GOP Presidential contender will drop out of the race tomorrow? And
what did Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) have to say about Bill and Hillary Clinton on
last night's "Tonight Show?"

We'll look at these stories and more in our roundtable discussion with the
American Prospect's Ezra Klein, Conde Nast Portfolio's Matt Cooper and the San
Francisco Chronicle's Carla Marinucci.
