The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
With the primaries just a few months away, tonight's NBC Democratic Candidates
Debate could prove to be a critical point in the race to the nomination.
Be sure to tune into MSNBC at 9pm ET for all of the live action as NBC's Brian
Williams, joined by Tim Russert, moderates the event at Drexel University,
Philadelphia. "Hardball" will be at the debate site every step of the way with
live shows at 5pm and 7pm ET previewing the event, and a post-debate wrap up at
11pm ET.
First up during the 5pm show, we'll talk to DNC Chair and former Presidential
candidate Howard Dean about the '08 Democratic field. We'll then take a look at
local Pennsylvania politics with Philadelphia Mayoral Candidate Michael Nutter
(D) and Gov. Ed Rendell (D-PA).
Next at 7pm, we'll talk to NBC's Andrea Mitchell, the Washington Post's Dan
Balz and Newsweek's Howard Fineman about campaign strategies tonight. We'll
also bring you the latest polls with analysis from NBC Political Director Chuck
Todd and the New Yorker's Ryan Lizza.
During both shows, Hardball's David Shuster will bring you a report with the
latest news from the '08 Democratic campaign trail and we'll hear predictions
from reporters on the ground.
When the debate's over, stay tuned to MSNBC where Chris Matthews will interview
the Democratic candidates to get their reaction and our panel of journalists
will give you their take on the night's events. Plus, don't miss David
Shuster's Truth Squad where he'll pick through the candidates' statements to
find out what's spin and what's truth.
