The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Tomorrow the '08 Democratic candidates will be in Philadelphia for NBC's
Democratic Candidates Debate. With national polls showing Sen. Hillary Clinton
(D-NY) as the clear frontrunner, is the pressure on her rivals to take off the
gloves and start throwing punches?
Hardball's David Shuster will have a report with the latest from the campaign
trail and then NBC Political Director Chuck Todd and MSNBC Analyst Pat Buchanan
will join us to preview the debate. Later in the show Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT)
will discuss his strategy and what he expects to hear from fellow candidates.
Then, New York Daily News reporter Tom DeFrank will join us to talk about his
new book on Fmr. President Gerald Ford, "Write it When I'm Gone." Tune in to
hear what Ford told DeFrank about the Clinton White House years and Sen.
Clinton's chances of winning the Presidency.
Plus, which European world leader stormed out of a 60 minutes interview? And
who is the "scariest" Presidential candidate?
We'll discuss these stories and take a look at the latest '08 polling in our
roundtable discussion with Newsweek's Holly Bailey, the Washington Post's Perry
Bacon and the Chicago Tribune's Jill Zuckman.
