Could you outline the prerequisites for using the demo and its goal .... is it intended to install on harddisk and running from an existing gtm install?
I ask because the opening comment lines in the "vista" script imply that it is intended to create a CD to run the demo.
What is the role/rationale for Xdialog (which is packaged with Mandrake10 but not 9.2 in my case)?
If this is intended to demo CPRS GUI , does that mean that the globals include some interesting dummy patient records? Could you describe the benefits of this demo?
I'm just seeking more info on use and incentives ...and thanks for assembling it.

OpenVistA SemiVivA VA Demo 0.1 is a SemiVivA package of the recently released VA demo (the intent of the demo appears to be primarily to showcase the CPRS GUI) available at the WorldVistA page at Source Forge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/worldvista).
To install, as root, in /usr/local, execute tar zxvf <filename> where <filename> is the path to the downloaded file OpenVistaSemiVivAVADemo0.1.tgz.
After that, to run, execute /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista (as a normal Linux user). This will guide you with prompts (choose the option to install the database first time).
This packaged demo is something new. Please use it and provide feedback.
