I think I can guess how you are set up.  The only way to access a VistA server 
over the Internet that I know of is if it is outside the fire wall.  When you 
have your router connected instead of connecting directly to your modem, you 
are inside a firewall and do not have a routable IP.  Most routers have a 
setting to allow you to put your individual computer outside of the firewall.  
find out your computers IP, if it is a Linux machine use /sbin/ifconfig and 
if a Windows machine use Strart- Run-CMD-IPconfig and find your IP, something 
like 192.168.0.101 and then configure your router to put that outside of the 
firewall.  Hopefully, the individual computer has a software firewall 
installed that you can configure to have an opening only for CPRS so that 
your computer is not vulnerable to attack.
