I notice IP addresses populated in the installed VistA applications I have
been working with. Do they have any function? Should they match the IP
address for the host server on which VistA is installed?

Example below (from Kernel PKI):

          Kernel PKI edit
       DOMAIN: VISTA.WORKDOC.COM

This field holds one to three IP addresses for the PKI servers for this
site. Each IP address is separated by comas.
Example: 10.6.21.12,PKI.fo-oakland.med.va.gov
