As I recall, if the file dumps you like that, it is because the global it is stored in is undefined. what do you get when you type
WRITE ^HLCS(869.3,0),! If you get an undefined then you need to set up the global. The following command will do no harm if you already have the global, and And if you don't, it will initialize the File Attribute note.
