That does it and , yes, asking does often generate more than one helpful
response on this list.
This is an example that a seasoned user can correct with a quick note of
advice. I don't know whether the error wording displayed in the client
comes from client code or is generated by the server.
This is also an example where I wish there was another searchable text
database along the lines of your Menu/Commands tree
( http://geocities.com/kdtop3/vistamastermenus.html )
In this case *that something* would be an organized massive text of
all the menu dialog/choices, and also the text labels of all final
properties that can be set (regardless of whatever M variables they
correspond to).
I can't imagine what the robot would be to walk through all the styles of
Vista menus (the way Google can more predictably hunt down hyperlinks) and
derive such a searchable file
Then when you have an error saying "patient selection list flag not
set", searching for a few key words in the massive text file could
give leads on where to go mining. Prospecting with roll and scroll
would not be as swift to decide where to stake your claim.
When I asked if anyone goes mining by searching for a phrase in the raw
globals, I was just thinking that perhaps that is another way to get
your bearings on the massive range of menu options. So if anyone
resorts to such methods, I would still like to hear how it is done.
Thanks
