I was able to enter a location. I did this by doing:
>GTM>D ^XUP
>Select OPTION NAME: DG SYSTEM DEFINITION MENU
>Select ADT System Definition Menu Option: Ward
Definition Entry/Edit
Entered a new Ward.
Now I am able to add problems to a patient. However,
I can't enter medication for patients. In CPRS, I
click on Meds, then right-click and select New
Medication... A dialog appears asking for Provider
& Location for Current Activities. Under Encounter
Provider a user appears that I gave the following
keys:
ORES PROVIDER XMMGR XUMGR
XUPROG
XUPROGMODE
I select him. Under Visit Location the wards I
created appear. I select a location. The problem I am
having is that after I click OK. I get a message that
the encounter provider I selected is not authorized
to write medication orders.
What do I need to do to enter a New Medication?
What else is needed to properly use CPRS?
Thanks in advance.
