I certainly don't endorse the practice of scattering business rules throughout the code, but this is the reality of the way VistA is designed. Any time you do not use the intended interface for a VistA module, you run the risk of subverting the programmer's intentions, and potentially compromising the integrity of your system. The Fileman entry points P^DI and Q^DI, and even the option DIUSER, should be treated as developer tools, and not a normal way of doing business. === Gregory Woodhouse <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "All truth passes through three stages: First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident." --Arthur Schopenhauer ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc.
