I have a Seagate 1TB drive. It is actually a replacement drive for the original one that failed under warranty a quite a few years back. I got a windows warning confirmed when I rebooted and had a smart drive warning. I had never had a Smart Drive warning before. I backed everything up off the drive and downloaded and am running Seagate Tools. Seagate Tools confirmed the Smart Drive failure and is running a long test in an attempt to "fix" the drive. Can it fix the drive reliably or is this drive toast no matter what Seagate reports. Seems to me either way I could never trust this drive again. Maybe it is time to add another 3TB WD Red to my collection. thanks
