Definitely Android. Apple markets 'ease of use' but that's complete
malarkey. Try figuring out 'syncing' on iTunes, and you'll know what we
mean.
Android lets you do whatever you want, however you want. I do recommend a
Nexus or Moto X though, if you want simple usability.

I have found very few apps I actually want are unavailable on the Android
platform (currently only one, and it's a game) Android has larger market
share, so most devs do both platforms now.

Get an Android, try some Google services/apps, and you're golden.
