I'd go with an Android.  If you can find a HTC One M7, it's a great 
phone, and since it's older, should be cheap.

Also, the Android App store is bigger, although apparently there's more 
money for developers in the Apple store.  (Not sure why the Android 
would be bigger, if that's the case).
