Thanks guys! I've got plenty of references now. Will let you know what I finally get.

It has 3x 230mm fans and 1x 120mm fan. It's not silent, but it's quieter

else on the system.

I have a Cooler Master HAF32. It is a nice case, I like it a lot, but
calling it quiet is not something I would do.

Cooling has changed a lot in 16yrs IMHO.

Coolermaster HAF series gets +1, I have their cube XB. Other than limited
Bay and a bit big it's really nicely done case with really good ventilation
as it's basically mesh.

My old Thermaltake Amor has 12 or so bays and v.good 24cm side cooling but
lacks floor sucking 12cm fan ports the II's revision added to truly cool
the card cage.

Great time to be building, man I miss building for a living...

Steve,
Plese take a serious look at Lian-Li cases. I bought 5 PC69 Mid-tower
cases way back in 1999, and, they are still in-use today. They have 4x
regular IO slots, 3x fdd slots, and the hdd/ssd cage (removable)
mounts 5 devices. The PSU mounts in the upper-rear. The case is all
aluminum and it cools very well via dual fans lower-front and single
fan above card-cage (next to PSU) in the rear. No. I do not recall
what I paid for them way back then, sorry.
Best to you and yours,
Duncan

Over the next couple of months I'm going to build a new system. First
comes the case. I tend to favor full tower cases with lots of room
to work in. Which ones are good quality? I started reading about
Thermaltake cases and came up with quite a few complaints on poor
quality, but is that the norm? I'm really behind on current cases.
My main system has a top mounted power supply. ;-)

Recommendations?

Thanks....Steve
