I've found that works if the all the settings for that NIC are on automatic
but in this case they appeared to have been placed manually & incorrectly when
compared to the router which was acting as a DHCP server. I changed everything
back to automatic but I could've manually put in the correct values as well.
You also might want to check out fixlsp or lspfix (Whatever it's called)
