Sorry to bring this up again, but what CPU, Motherboard, video card and memory combo would people recommend for a budget system, say $300-$400 ? Will be running XP Pro with office apps and a little bit of Photoshop - nothing serious. Going to reuse a case and pata hard drive, screen etc.
Heck you can get a Gigabyte ga-7vm400m-rz via km400 micro atx, 512meg & a Sempron 2500 for $165 at Mwave. You don't need a video card for what you've listed & can add one latter if you like. If building a truly cheap machine you could even drop down to 256 meg.
