Well, perhaps you could defrag, create a new partition, then
use either Norton Ghost or Acronis True Image to make a
snapshot.  Put that in the new partition. Copy to similar
partition on new computer.  Restore image.

I like to have at least 5 partitions: System, Programs, Other Programs,
Email, Data.
  

Maybe I'm missing something....this new system has a different mobo with all different stuff - video, sound, etc.  If I move a partitin, then doesn't all that "driver" and "system" stuff get brought over? They data is just fine, but I don't want to overwrite the "system" level stuff that's already set up on the new machine.  That would be like taking a bootable HD from one machine and inserting it into another, than then turning the new system on....all the wrong drivers, right?
