I know that its the games that make the machine, but lets say that the games were identical which is a big possibility because of large publishers such as EA and such....

What game console would everyone buy?

Although I have been an avid MS hater, it seems that the XBOX is just as powerful as the PS3 in terms of hardware.

Since the PS3 uses CELL and it is a revolutionary processor, a lot of review sites have stated that the CELL will be hard to program for at first. It was a similar case for the PS2. The first crop of games were horrible (graphically speaking), but just look at GT4 and it's hard to believe that the graphics are being rendered on a PS2.

So which one is it for everyone?

XBOX

or

PS3

Well I am sure they will lose money as they did with the last xbox on
the hardware. But I definitely think they will make their money in
software and subscriptions. I don't own a xbox now but looking at the
new one I definitely want to own the next one.

Holy cow, three dual core 3.2 gig CPU's, Cell processors with 7 or 8 SPE's. running at 3.2gigs as well., Wireless controllers, gigabit ethernet, etc, etc, etc.

Makes you wonder how they can sell these for what, 299 or so ? and a PC
with half those specs costs hundreds more.....
