Well I have 2 burners - Plextor [EMAIL PROTECTED] dual sided DVD/RW and [EMAIL
PROTECTED] DVD/RW
both with the latest firmware. And both were tried and resulted in the
Verbatim errors. As far as the line of Verbatim, I'm not sure. What ever
Sam's sells. Like I said, when I have some more time I will try some more.

.
.Depends on the burner. Some burners don't have very good write
.strategies
.for the MCC media. Verbatim is still just as good as TY. (in fact, the
.MCC
.16x -R stuff appears to be better than the TY 16x -R). For rewritable
.and
.dual-layer DVD media, Verbatim/MCC/MKM is the -only- stuff that is
.worthwhile.
.
.Additionally, it is possible to get a MCC-coded disc that isn't really
.MCC.
.Prodisc and a few others will use MCC dye and sampers, but the discs
.are not
.as good as the stuff sold under the Verbatim brand. With CD media, it
.is
.important to make sure the discs are labeled Verbatim DataLifePlus. If
.it is
.labeled DataLife, ValuLife, or nothing at all, then it is a lesser
.quality
.product.
