I don't personally find much in Cat6 VS Cat5E.
Cat 5E does GigE, Cat 6 does GigE. Neither can do 10GigE, and the
likely hood of a 2.5GigE coming out that can do Cat6 and not Cat5E is
rather low.
For Coax, I use RG6-Quad Shield, which is good stuff, and not that bad
cost per foot.
