Not FAT32--Max is 2 Terabytes: http://tinyurl.com/bmzvx More likely, it's a limitation of the firmware of the hard drive. Did you "fdisk" the drive? Fdisk allows for partitioning of the drive, as well as viewing what partitions already exist. If you are starting fresh, you might want to: fdisk /MBR That will trash the current master boot record. Go back into fdisk and clean out any partitions, and start anew.
