LOL! That's true. Dell always uses the cheapest drives they can get (lots WD EBs and BBs.) A Toshiba tech told me their computers aren't made as durable as desktops, and Compaq=low end cheapie.


I always used BB's until they changed the warranty deal and JB represents the one with the 3 year warranty. In the past year it seems more of these quality WD drives have been going bad, so you can not blame it on the label if you avoid the 5400 RPM and/or the 1 year warranty ones.

Seagate won me over with their SATA drives with a 5 year warranty for the same money that I was paying WD for a 3 year warranty drive. I have not used Seagate long enough for them to prove themselves.
