Yes and no.  This -can- work (though it's easiest with something like NT4
rather then MCE, since tuners, etc. will not work in a VPC).  Ghost the HDD
to a GHOST image.  Save the ghost image in a folder.

Boot the VPC to a DOS Prompt by creating a VPC, labeling it windows, and
having it boot to a .IMG floppy or something similar.

Once there, run GHOST for DOS, ghost your MCE box to the VPC Virtual Hard
Drive.  Done.

Is the a way I can make an image of my MCE installation and just install
that to a vhd - would sure speed things up.

I have WinImage, and Acronis TrueImage, and I think Nero can make an image
of a drive.     

It would be ducky for just this one OS. I can always Boot from a different
drive and OS to make the image of the target OS.
