I got it today as well. Been playing with it. Jumped right in - didn't
start the tutorial or read the manual that much. I'm guessing it might
help me to do so. Seems very different from Civ3. Lots of throwbacks to
Civ1 as well.
It runs pretty slow on my 3.2ghz, 1.5gb RAM laptop though. I have 64mb
of video ram and it's just slow. I wish I could turn off all of the unit
animations and have the units just slide around like I was able to do in
Civ3.

Yes, it is. I spent almost all day yesterday. It's a big logical change from
Civ, but the strategy is ungodly deep. I like it that it strongly encourages
the play for peaceful victory ;)
The music is suprisingly good as well.

This game is lethal - started the tutorial at midnight, didn't get to bed
till 10am or so. Luckily, I have today off.

*laugh* Numerous people. Due to an error in shipment, some
that were meant for Quebec came into the US. They have a
version you can download at thier website or you can contact
them for a mailed replacement.

So anyone else get the French version of the fold-out tech
tree with
their game? LOL. Kinda sucks because I'm guessing its fairly
important to be able to read it from the complexity of the map :)
