It is sad that people think of software like they think of new vehicles.
With new vehicles the bells and whistles are usually good things. With
software the bells and whistles are usually problems. With software, the
stripped down version is often the best. Some people's browsers etc.
look more decorated than a Christmas tree with the things that have been
added to them.
