Well look how long they have been in the embedded RAID market - they are still a baby. It took intel a decade to get it right. Adaptec even longer (arguably they gave up and just bought out DPT).

It doesn't help that the RAID setup in the BIOS appears to allow you to build the array there, but actually doesn't work, or that the latest drivers are flawed (they are missing at least one inf file.) I really wish NVidia would task some of the engineers working on video driver updates to work on chipset drivers (or hire some to work on chipset drivers.) They can increase video card speeds by 20% with driver updates; can you imagine if they could increase HD throughput by 20% - or memory throughput?
