Just for the sake of argument, lets say that was 1975. $0.50 in 1975 would be worth $1.84, or $0.92 per song. The price is basically the same, and the sound quality is much higher. I don't like DRM either, I'm just pointing out that the cost of a song is basically the same as it ever was.
