thanks Harry, sounds like it will not be a big deal. They already have a wify router though it is a cheap one, but it works. 4 box lan, two are wireless. never could get them to go hardwired, would not have been that big a deal to pull some wire.
I looked up the router they are using and it looks like it could be a router depending on how it is configured. I did one a couple of years ago I forgot about and even though it came in thru a box with 4 ports and could have been a router it was not configured as such and that had to be done from their end. I wound up putting a 4 port router and a 16 port switch on that one, they had 14 units and more coming. I think I remember her saying something about a hand over. thanks Fred At 03:36 PM 7/31/2006, Harry McGregor Poked the stick with: >It's very dependant on how they are handing over the T1. > >This is my guess of what they are doing, but I can't be certain. > >Adtran has equipment that does an Ethernet hand over, which is my guess >of what they are using. > >They also probably are not routing, but briding the T1 (this is what >Time Warner Telecom does), as it permits them to run everything over >ethernet into their Juniper or Cisco router. > >You could put just about any ethernet/ethernet router on the setup, and >do NAT. > >I would suggest something like a Netgear FVS318.
