You know, I checked and et sent out more then 18,000 ecs based pcs in the last four years. Most with integrated video etc. Basic sis stuff. And by percentage they have one of the lowest return rates.

I've seen dead set top DVD players with bad caps as well. Abit wasn't the only one with bad caps, but their problems went beyond that. I had 4 Abit whatever they were's (in the days of the Celeron 300A) and they never worked right and all died within two years. Maybe they are better now, but given the number that come into the shop dead, I'll stay away. ECS is worse, but Abit is pretty bad. I'm sure ECS could improve, but I'll let someone else buy a couple of thousand and try them for three or four year before I'd begin to trust them. T
