I used a voltmeter, and we have a power supply tester at work. I connected
it for a day...with no problems. Plus it's not exhibiting any symptoms of a
failing power supply.

The IDE drive is now officially dead. I haven't pulled it yet so I don't
have the serial number. I ended up ordering a replacement 320 gig
drive....I'll bring the bad IDE into work and run some tests there. If it's
bad I'll wipe it and toss it.

What did you check the PS with?

What model of WD drives are you using?
