All the Core2Duo Macs can be firmware upgraded to 802.11N. Apple just released the patch a couple days ago: http://www.tuaw.com/2007/01/09/update-your-wireless-to-802-11n/ Patch is free if you buy the new router, $2 to download from Apple's site.
