That's a very good question, and, one I had not thought too much about.
No. I do not yet know whether my old hdw will cold boot from a USB FD; other
than the bios has a selection for FD that I've set at 3d boot target.
Yes, I do know that the old stuff does and will boot from a CD. It had
to! That's the
only way I got these dinosaurs to run/load W2K.... LOL!
Hmm. More thought, but I am really tired of floppies......
Ultimately, if I do ever get backed into a corner, I will pull out and
re-install a FD if
necessary. I'm only retiring the FD's, not tossing them in the trash...... :)
