open explorer, goto tools and file options. Look under (NONE) Folder, File Folder, and shortcut and see if there is an option to restore to defaults. This is where things got funky for you, I'm guessing.

All of a sudden, when I double click on a folder icon (like My Documents, or
the C: drive) it automatically goes to the Search page with that retarded
dog. How can I reset it so it defaults back to opening the drive, folder,
etc? I've tried folder properties with no success. When I right click on
these items, the first item is now SEARCH in bold where it used to be OPEN
in bold. Help! This is really annoying... Thank guys.
