I totally agree that one drive is not at all statistically or
otherwise significant.
What I do think is significant is that a lot of other people seem to
have this same type of failure--with no warning signs, the almost
"beeping" noise, and occurring right around 8 months.
A number of people have indicated that seagate customer service isn't
that hot either, so I'll see how that goes.
I had no problems with the drive before this, but this was enough :-)
