You can fix the htaccess issue by adding the usage of it to your
configuration.
it's a shared server. I don't have access to anything above my home
directory so there is not a hell of a lot I can do to fix it...
other then advise them.
So did their AddType solution work for proper downloading of the
videos? If it DID work, then you have .htaccess control and your
problem is somewhere else..
Do you have access to edit your .htaccess manually?
