You can fix the htaccess issue by adding the usage of it to your
configuration.
it's a shared server. I don't have access to anything above my home
directory so there is not a hell of a lot I can do to fix it...
other then advise them.
So did their AddType solution work for proper downloading of the
videos?
I haven't tried ... but yes they tried ,and told me it solved the
problem. I had a different approach. I just put the videos on another
site using a windows server, and linked to that. The only reason I am
continuing with the Linux Server choice is because of .htaccess. I
have a secure folder I would like to keep on the site.
If it DID work, then you have .htaccess control and your
problem is somewhere else..

yes, I had it working but then they "moved" my site to another server
and then it stopped working. I assume because the path above my home
directory has changed. I have asked three times what that path is but
Godaddy tech just ignore me.
